The blaze, which erupted on Friday (April 5), sent flames and smoke through part of the building before firefighters quickly contained it. According to Morocco World News, the fire was described as “small,” and swift action by staff ensured all guests and employees were safely evacuated.
Authorities confirmed that the fire did not spread to other areas of the hotel, and no injuries were reported. Safety protocols were successfully activated, protecting everyone on the premises.
The Pestana CR7 Marrakech, opened in 2022 as part of Ronaldo’s hospitality venture with the Pestana Group, has since resumed normal operations. The Portuguese icon, who currently plays for Saudi club Al-Nassr, has expanded his business portfolio with several hotels worldwide.
An investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing.
