Gospel minister and former hiplife artiste, Yaw Siki, has shocked many Ghanaians with a bold, no-holds-barred account of his past life before his transformation through faith.
In a revealing interview with DrPounds on Pounds TV, the “Wo Pe Dodo” hitmaker now an evangelist, shared raw and emotional details about his past, marked by promiscuity, addiction, and spiritual emptiness.
“I used to chop ashawo and I was addicted to porno,” he confessed. “At a point, I wanted to sleep with girls but I wasn’t getting them like that, and that’s what led me to become a chronic masturbator.”
The gospel minister went on to describe how his addiction to pornography spiraled into unhealthy sexual habits, while also revealing a deep history with drugs and alcohol during his days in the Tema music scene.
“I was a heavy drinker… When it came to alcohol, I knew how to drink paa. I also knew how to smoke waa. If you were looking for one of the artistes in Tema who knew how to smoke, I was one of them,” he said.
Despite the shocking nature of his confessions, Yaw Siki explained that sharing his testimony is part of his evangelical mission — to show others that transformation is possible.
“I’m not ashamed to say it now because they are no more. They won’t be embarrassed by it,” he stated.
Yaw Siki, who survived a near-fatal accident in 2013, has since left secular music to dedicate his life to preaching the gospel. His transformation story continues to inspire many, especially those battling personal struggles and seeking redemption.
