Sarkodie, a Grammy-winning rapper, has joined the online movement to repair the Tema-motorway.
The Tema Motorway, which was once among the best roads in the nation, is today in a deplorable condition that is causing a number of accidents.
The road is littered with potholes, many of which have become death traps over the years.
As residents demand that the terrible road be fixed, the hashtag #FixTheTemaMotorway has been trending on Twitter for the past week.
Sarkodie was alerted to the initiative on Twitter and gave it his support by writing, “about time.”
Sarkodie, who was born and raised in Tema and spent the most of his formative years there, has stated that it is “About time” the road is fixed to prevent more loss of life.
In a Twitter post on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, the rapper wrote, “About time #FixtTheTemaMotorway.”
Sarkodie was responding to a social media post from the “Ghana Mu Nsem” account, which urged him to join the “Fix the Motorway” movement and urge the government to help.
