Award-winning artist Bisa Kdei recently expressed his disappointment with GHAMRO officials after being told that his royalties were available.
During his peak popularity with chart-toppers such as “Brother Brother” and “Mansa,” he was keen to discover his earnings.
He was disappointed to find out that his overall earnings were just GH¢500. Feeling frustrated by the meager amount, Bisa Kdei instructed the person on the other end of the phone to refrain from reaching out to him in the future with such trivial sums.
He detailed this experience in a conversation with Angel FM, based in Kumasi.
”I received a call that I had some royalties to collect when I had brother brother and Mansa. I was excited about the news so I asked how much and I was told I had a total of GH¢500 so I told the official who called me not to call me again,” he told Kumasi-based Angel FM.
