I SPEND OVER GH¢100,000 IN PRODUCING A HIT SINGLE – Kaywa

Award-winning sound engineer and music producer, Kaywa has revealed that he spends more than Gh¢100,000 in producing and releasing one hit single.

In an interview with Giovanni and AJ Sarpong on the 3FM Drive on Tuesday, July 18, the ordained man of God indicated that he spent a lot of money putting out just one hit single and according to him, weighing the aspect that took much of the money was the shooting of videos as compared to doing promotions.

“More than 100,000 for one hit single. (Between videos and promotions, which one takes most of the money?) Videos. Sometimes we can shoot videos worth 70,000. Sometimes, some people don’t understand the conversation. You put in a lot of money,” he disclosed.

Speaking on the realities behind the availability of funds, the Highly Spiritual Music boss pointed out that though, many a times the money is not available, it is difficult to let personalities he deems talented go.

“Sometimes, there is no money but looking at the talent, you just can’t allow it to go to waste so you do everything to make it work,” he stated.

In the same interview, Kaywa pointed out that venturing into his line of business was lucrative though it came with risks especially when it has to do with new talents. However, he thinks it’s worth it as some of these talents are too good to be dismissed.

“It really is if you do it well. Check your streaming platforms and ask any artiste that does it pretty well, you’ll know that there is some great money coming in if you are doing it well.

It’s business but it’s a risk. Putting money in fresh talents is not an easy job but we trust the process. Sometimes, there is no money but looking at the talent, you just can’t allow it to go to waste so you do everything to make it work,” he concluded.
