The Attorney General determined that the Special Prosecutor’s Office (OSP) lacked substantial grounds to request EOCO to initiate money laundering investigations into Dapaah’s affairs.

The OSP’s interest stemmed from the discovery of over $1 million in cash at the former minister’s residence, prompting concerns of money laundering.

Despite months of a joint investigation involving agencies like the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Attorney General’s office found that the OSP failed to submit a comprehensive report to EOCO or respond to its requests for findings.

The analysis of the dossier by the Attorney General’s office revealed no evidence of corruption or related offenses against Cecilia Dapaah.

Consequently, without criminal implications associated with the properties of the NPP Politician, the Attorney General’s office concluded there was no basis for pursuing a money laundering investigation.
