CROSSCHECK WITH BANKS WHETHER ‘NPP MONEY WAS WIRED INTO MY ACCOUNT’ – Agya Koo

In answer to questions on allegations that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) had deserted him, Agya Koo has provided interesting responses and reactions.

The Kumawood actor refused to discuss the subject in an interview with Angel FM when asked to confirm rumors that the party had turned on him after he had been a steadfast supporter.

“I don’t even want to go on this tangent. As for me, I am living my life. Whatever people are saying is none of my business. What matters is that I sleep well and I get to enjoy my new house, my small London,” he stated.

This came after he repeatedly asserted that he was the sole source of funding for the construction of his new estate, contrary to popular belief.

Agya Koo was pressed further by the host and asked if he (Agya Koo) had not benefited greatly from having a significant role in the celebration, to which the actor said,

“For the NPP money to give you money to spend, it will never happen. They won’t give you money to spend. I haven’t gotten any money and let me clarify here that I haven’t been given any money. Nobody has called me to come for any money, a huge amount to the extent I will build from it.

However, in spite of everything, Agya Koo has expressed gratitude to a couple of party officials who have shown him love and support over the years.

“Kennedy Agyapong is my main man. He supports me often and you know. Also, the COCOBOD boss, Mr. Boahen, has been very good to me. There are others who gift me when we cross paths,” he added.

The actor told AngelFM that in order to establish clarity, people should check with their banks to see if any NPP officials moved money into his account.

Additionally, he has challenged any NPP politician to speak up if they have ever given him money for his new property.

“I used my mind and the wisdom God gave me to establish this project so my kids don’t suffer one day. Crosschecks with banks in the whole Ghana and let’s see where the transaction took place. Let’s see where the money was wired into my account. Or is it the case that I was given the money and I carried it on my head from the Jubilee House to the house? Let any big man who feels he gave me money to build this mansion come out and speak. They will even laugh about it if they hear it, he averred.

“The building was there in 2007 and even the time I endorsed the NPP, I completed the house but I didn’t paint it. I don’t know why people are peddling lies about me,” he stated.
