I WOULD BE ASHAMED TO SHOW MY FACE IN PUBLIC IF I WAS AN NPP MEMBER – Mr Beautiful

Clement Bonney, popularly known as Mr. Beautiful, has expressed disappointment with the leadership of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

The actor voiced his concerns about what he believed to be the NPP’s inability to keep its word and provide sufficient support for its supporters.

“NDC in 4 years built new airports, harbours, more schools, and more hospitals were built.

“But what do the NPP supporters have to show for their toil when you all went to support President Akufo-Addo and his driver’s mate Bawumia for 8 years, what do they have to show for it,” onuaonline.com quoted him to have said in an interview on Onua FM on April 26, 2024.

Mr. Beautiful also criticized other performers Agya Koo and Kalybos, both of whom have supported the NPP.

He implied that because of what he saw as the lack of noticeable advancement during the NPP’s rule if he were in their position, he would be too embarrassed to appear in public.

“If I were Kalybos or Agya Koo, I would cover my head with a scarf because I would be too ashamed to show my face in public.

“It has been 8 years, what do they have to show for it?” he asked.

He recognized the effect his career had suffered as a result of his support for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), but he declared he would never hesitate or regret making the same decision.

He claimed that by making this choice, others were inspired to publicly express their political views.

Mr. Beautiful praised those who have defected from the NPP to the NDC, especially those in the Ashanti Region.

He maintained that they made the proper choice considering the status of the Ghanaian economy at the time.
