IT HURTS WHEN I’M BEING REFERRED TO AS AN OLD MUSICIAN – Piesie Esther

Legendary gospel performer Piesie Esther, has expressed her distaste for the term “old musician.”

The artist adamantly maintains that there is no such thing as an old musician because musicians, particularly those like her who are still working in the field, have no set retirement age.

When asked if she gets offended when people refer to her as an elderly musician in an interview with Kingdom, Piesie Esther made it clear that she does.

The ‘Wa ye Me Yie’ hitmaker answering the question sharply replied saying “Of course, since we are humans, it will definitely hurt you”.

Piesie Esther has been in the music industry for over 20 years with several hit songs to her credit.

She is currently enjoying massive airplay on both traditional media and social media with her song “Wa Ye Me Yie” which has also won her seven nominations at this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs).
