‘IT’S A PRIVILEGE TO BE PART OF YOUR EDUCATION’ – Laryea Kingston To Black Starlets After Resignation As Coach

Former Ghana international, Laryea Kingston, says he is proud to have played a part in the development of the current Black Starlets players as he stands by his decision to resign as head coach.

Kingston announced his resignation as the gaffer of the team following their 1-2 defeat to Burkina Faso in the ongoing WAFU B U-17 Africa Cup of Nations.

Ghana failed to advance into the final of the competition which also serves as a qualifier to the next U-17 Africa Cup of Nations.

During the pressure after the game, the former Black Stars winger announced his decision to resign from his role as the head coach adding his reasons will come later.

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) noted the decision by Kingston with a game still left to be played in the competition.

Kingston took to his WhatsApp status to appreciate sharing the dressing room with the current set-up.

“Love you guys so much son,” he wrote.

The message was subsequently responded to by the captain of the team, Benjamin Tsivanyo, who reciprocated the love shared.

“Much love father,” he reposted with a picture of himself and Kingston.
