Ghanaian actress, activist and movie producer, Yvonne Nelson has called on Ghanaians to rally behind her as she embarks on another ‘DumsorMustStop’ vigil following the incessant power outages in the country.
You would recall that Yvonne Nelson championed a demonstration supported by entertainers and influential personalities in the country in 2016 for the lack of electricity in the country during John Mahama’s regime.
Under the NPP administration, Yvonne Nelson’s resolve to see an improved living condition for the ordinary Ghanaian is unwavering and as such has declared her intention to herald another protest and has reached out to all well-meaning Ghanaians to join her for the same cause.
In a letter to the public dated April 30, 2024, signed by Yvonne Nelson, the mother of one revealed she has called on key individuals such as Imani Ghana, Kofi Bentil among others to support the vigil and is waiting for a positive response to that effect.
According to her, “together we can make our voice heard and compel our leaders to prioritize the needs of the expertise and support in planning and executing this event because Yvonne Nelson can’t do it alone.”
