Lilian Kumah, the late deputy finance minister John Kumah’s wife, has received admonition from Ghanaian socialite, AfiaSchwarzenegger to keep quiet and concentrate on grieving her husband.
She clarified that prior to her husband’s funeral, a widow should not address matters or interact with the media.
The socialite told John Kumah’s wife that if politicians told her to speak in public, she would wind up saying unnecessary things that would land her in hot water.
Afia urged Kumah’s wife to rely less on her judgment and let God lead her during these difficult times.
She made these remarks following Lilian Kumah’s appearance with Asaase Radio, based in Accra, when she addressed the criticisms directed towards her husband’s demise
“The woman [Kumah’s wife] is a pastor, and I know she is not going to do politics, but she should keep quiet. If you follow politicians, you will end up making unnecessary remarks. How can you say, ‘Kumah, who was 45-year-old is better than others.’
“Did she think about it? Let God guide your utterances as a pastor, and don’t speak anyhow. From what you said in the interview, the holy spirit had departed from you. Stop granting interviews and mourn your husband,” she said while speaking in a TikTok live session monitored by GhanaWeb.
