LET’S COME TOGETHER AND HELP FUNNY FACE – DKB Pleads With Fellow Comedians

Ghanaian comedian Derrick Kobina Bonney, popularly known as DKB disclosed that he had initially vowed not to back fellow comic Funny Face.

However, a change of heart occurred following an accident in which Funny Face was involved.

DKB defended his earlier position by pointing out that Funny Face’s prior behaviour had made him unpopular with other comedians in the nation, making them reluctant to offer him support. As a result, DKB avoided discussing Funny Face-related matters in public.

Meanwhile, DKB’s viewpoint changed in the wake of Funny Face’s recent mishap. During a GhanaWeb-monitored Instagram live session, DKB pleaded with other comedians to support Funny Face through these trying times and extend forgiveness to him.

“I have never been a fan of Funny Face because of his shenanigans. You don’t see me talking about him publicly because of what he did to us [comedians] in the past. So for me, it will take more than just the eye for him to convince me.

“But with what happened to him tonight [car accident], I am pleading with all of us to have sympathy on him. I am calling on the comedians such as Kalybos, Bismark The Joke and the rest to come on board and help him,” he said.

Funny Face was involved in a severe accident in Kasoa, located in the Central Region, where he reportedly collided with five individuals at Kakraba Junction.

An eyewitness indicated that one of the victims might have suffered fatal injuries. The victims included a mother with her two children and two motorcyclists struck after the initial impact.

The incident, captured on March 24, 2024, per footage from the scene, prompted Accra-based UTV to share a video showing Funny Face being escorted away while bystanders surrounded the vehicle he was purportedly driving.
