Alexander Afenyo-Markin, the minority Leader and member of parliament for Effutu, has vehemently condemned President John Mahama for the extensive cancellation of contracts during his tenure.
In the State of the Nation Address on Thursday, February 26th, Afenyo-Markin voiced his worries regarding the dismissals, which he asserted have overshadowed Mahama’s initial 100 days in office.
Afenyo-Markin states that the Mahama administration has been marked by a series of dismissals, with minimal achievements to demonstrate from its initial period.
“In less than 100 days, all we have seen is ‘sack them, sack them, dismissal, dismissal.”
The minority leader claimed that young people in Accra are expressing their discontent in the streets, holding Mahama responsible for the widespread contract cancellations.
