Popular Ghanaian actress Habiba Sinare has cast doubt on any potential future unions she might have had with a man from the north of the country.
She claimed that the inhabitants of northern Ghana presented considerable difficulties.
In support of her assertion, the actress cites her personal experience as a divorcee from former Black Stars footballer Abdul Majeed Waris, who was her ex-husband.
Habiba Sinare will talk about how she had postpartum depression after giving birth to her child with her ex-husband in a future episode of MzGee’s show Just Being Us.
Habiba claimed that her ex-family and husband’s treated her cruelly, and as a result, she vowed never to wed a northerner again.
“My husband’s father comes to the house, I am going out and he doesn’t understand why I am going out…They make my depression worse… I became so skinny, I was going through worse things [and] I couldn’t talk to nobody about..
“Our northern people are very hard to deal with. Every northerner knows that. I am not ashamed to say that I am a northerner. I cannot marry a northerner again; I am not even joking. Dating them is something else, marrying them is horribly something else,” she said.
