SALMA MUMIN CALLED ME TO APOLOGIZE FOR DEFAMING ME – Okraku Mantry says

According to the deputy minister of tourism and creative arts, Mark Okraku Mantey, actress Salma Mumin reached out to him to render an apology  for disparaging him on live television.

Recently, actress Salma Mumin detailed an encounter she had with Mark Okraku-Mantey while attending an audition for Ghana’s Most Beautiful at TV3.

Salma Mumin claims that she met Mark Okraku while attending the audition for the beauty pageant and that she found him to be impolite.

Salma claims that Mark pushed her out of the contest early on.

“Mark Okraku was my judge at Ghana’s Most Beautiful auditions. I have been to a lot of auditions in my life. The year that Chalar won, I couldn’t make it to the semi-final auditions because I could speak the local dialogue which is the Wale. But now I gave say proverbs in my local dialect”.

“I have had encounters with Mark Okraku as a judge. He was really arrogant towards me and I was so scared. So I went out of the audition room and people started asking about me, I kept going about him that there is this guy in there who is not nice at all,” Salma stated.

However, in a new development, according to Mark Okraku Mantey, Salma Mumin contacted him to apologize after realizing she had mistaken him for someone else,  who just came forward to say this.

He also refuted assertions that he served as a judge for the contest.

When Salma contacted, Eugene—who I believe to be one of the producers—acted as the go-between. She called to express regret. She claimed to have mistaken me for someone else, but word of the incident had already spread.

“I forwarded that particular video to Eugene and I told him that he is a part of the producers of the show so he should clarify this. I have never been on any pageant show. This is because pretty ladies are my taste and I might be biased in giving judgments.

“I don’t know how to define beauty per the standards of pageantry. All I look out for is appearance. I was invited for miss Malaika once and I didn’t go”, Mr. Okraku-Mantey said on the PeaceFM Entertainment Review show.
