SCARY DREAMS OF EBONY PUSHED ME TO CONSULT PASTORS – iOna Reine

The late Ebony Reigns frequently appeared in the nightmares of Ghanaian musician and nurse iOna Reine, which drove her to seek advice from men of God.

One of the female dancehall musicians from Ghana who achieved international success with her music was Ebony Reigns. However, she passed away in a car accident on the Sunyani road in February 2018 at the height of her career.

After Ebony passed away, her impersonators—among them iOna Reines—appeared on social media. She shot a similar music video for the late singer’s song, “Maame Hwe,” while also copying her sense of style.

iOna admitted to experiencing bizarre nightmares about Ebony where she was smiling at her but saying nothing in an interview with Adom TV’s “The Journey.”

In another dream she recounted, she said “it was a weird dream. She [Ebony] was pregnant and teaching in a classroom.”

She claimed that as things got worse, she started seeing the late Ebony more frequently—even in broad daylight and with her eyes fully open.
“At a point, it became very scary. Even when I was doing something, I see her standing by. In one of the dreams, she had come back and some people were chasing us and took her away. The pain I felt in the dream when I woke up, I felt the same chest pain and at that point, I knew I had to get spiritual help.”
iOna acknowledged that praying and speaking to men of God enabled her to cease seeing the late artist’s ghost. However, she admitted that she didn’t contact Ebony’s family since she didn’t want to be taken in the wrong way.
“The reason is that Ghanaians can easily misinterpret your intentions. They can attribute it to me wanting fame or chasing clout so I kept quiet and dealt with it myself,” she said.
