Stonebwoy, the reigning 8-time Reggae and Dancehall ‘Artiste of the Year’ at the Ghana Music Awards has lamented the focus on trivial discussions on social media.
He said Ghanaians must avoid discussing unnecessary issues on social media and rather use their data to seek information in order to support artistes who are winning.
Stonebwoy sarcastically said on Property FM in Cape Coast “As for social media when you have credits and data on your phone and you don’t use it to talk, what else would you use the data for?
“So you have to go and find something to say or share your opinion on issues like the shoe that someone is wearing because the data is there to be used.
“If you don’t say it or comment on it what else would you do with the data but that should not be our mindset all the time, we have to use that same data to seek for information, he urged.
“And break down the information so that we can move away from trivial, unnecessary discussions that don’t help but rather support someone who is doing well to go further”. He added
