Appietus claims that after years of creating beats for singers, Daddy Lumba was the first artist to pay him a sizable quantity of money.
He made this revelation in an interview with Kumasi-based Pure FM.
He asserts that when he first started his career, his major objective was to sell himself globally and spread awareness of his inherent talents.
Appietus asserted that Daddy Lumba showed him a glimpse of the potential profitability of the enterprise by lavishly rewarding the effort of his hands for a task they accomplished jointly.
“The first performer to offer me a sizable sum of money in my career was Daddy Lumba. After our conversation in the studio, he walked outside and returned with a tray, claiming to have brought me beverages.
“I took the bag home without looking inside.” I became perplexed when my wife inquired the next day if I would transfer the money to the bank. She then informed me that the bag I had with me contained money. “You know, when we first started, it was more about the skill than the cash,” he stated.
