Ghanaian artist Belinda Akua Amoah, widely recognized as Mzbel, has expressed her dissatisfaction with the present New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration, encouraging Ghanaians to seek change in the forthcoming elections.
Speaking fervently at a National Democratic Congress (NDC) rally in Kasoa on November 12, 2024, Mzbel voiced her conviction that the NPP has failed to meet its commitments, particularly concerning employment opportunities for the populace.
Mzbel, a loyal advocate for the NDC, emphasized the determination and diligence of Ghanaians, asserting that the citizens are not idle but have been disappointed by the NPP’s inability to generate adequate employment opportunities.
“Thank you for coming out in your numbers, from the starting point to the ending point,” she told the crowd, adding, “This shows that we are tired and fed up. We need change, and change is coming.”
She directly tackled the situation in Kasoa, disputing the NPP’s portrayal of the local residents. Mzbel stated that if there were sufficient jobs in the area, individuals would not need to journey to Accra for employment.
Her message struck a chord with the audience and was supported by Ghanaian celebrity Big Akwes, who reiterated her plea for change and encouraged voters to back the NDC and its candidate, John Dramani Mahama, in the effort to create a new path for the country.
