YOU CAN’T BE IN GHANA AND EXPECT TO SELL OUT O2 ARENA – DJ Vyrusky

Renowned Disc Jorkeyer, DJ Vyrusky has chimed in on the discussion of why Ghanaian musicians find it difficult to get sizable international crowds to their performances overseas.

He discussed the difficulties of this attempt in an interview on TV3’s Ladies Circle show. He emphasized the importance of thorough marketing and thoughtful strategic planning.

Vyrusky explained, “You can’t be in Ghana and expect to sell out the O2 Arena. It doesn’t make sense. You can’t stay here and not go to the UK to promote yourself as an artist and expect to have a sold-out concert there.”

This debate is a result of continuing discussions regarding why Nigerian musicians like Wizkid, Burna Boy, and Asake have had more success selling out worldwide concerts than Ghanaian performers.

Collaboration with foreign musicians is a crucial tactic for success in international events, according to Vyrusky. He gave the successful collaborations of international talents Wizkid and Asake to gain larger audiences abroad as examples.

He also emphasized how crucial event planners are to successfully promote events abroad. They are essential in organizing every aspect of a successful international concert, from marketing to logistics to venue choice.
