YOU CAN’T FORCE ME TO TWEET! – Serwaa Amihere Fumes Over #OccupyJulorbiHouse Calls

Ghanaian broadcaster, Serwaa Amihere has expressed her frustration regarding the persistent demands from certain segments of the public for her to comment on the OccupyJulorbiHouse protest.

She pointed out that she has consistently utilized her social media platforms to advocate for initiatives aimed at urging the government to assist the vulnerable in society.

Serwaa Amihere stressed that no one can compel her to tweet about the OccupyJulorbiHouse protest, which has garnered significant attention on social media. She emphasized that she would choose to voice her opinion on the matter when she deems it appropriate.

Her remarks come in response to numerous calls from Ghanaians on social media urging her to lend her voice to the OccupyJulorbiHouse protest to amplify the concerns of the demonstrators.

In a tweet posted on Friday, September 23, 2023, Serwaa Amihere reflected on her consistent efforts to advocate for problem-solving, including her recent involvement in raising awareness about the issue of flooding.

“I tweet when I want to. You don’t force me to. When I was talking about floods on TV and tweeting about them, you were selling sneakers,” she fumed.

“I like your patriotism but don’t tell me what to tweet and what not to tweet! I am not lucky! I WORK! Nothing falls on my lap I work! Speaking for the woman in Zongo, I do it all the time.”

The #OccupyJulorbiHouse protest, spanning three days, concluded with celebrities playing a significant role in its vigor and effectiveness in conveying their concerns to the government.
