The immediate past CEO of 3Music, Sadiq Abdulai Abu has asked Shatta Wale why he could not supersede Burna Boy when he said Sarkodie should have been bigger than Wizkid.
While speaking on an array of discourse bordering on showbiz in general, Shatta Wale opined that Sarkodie should be rubbing shoulders with well-known musicians on the international stage premised on the kind of investment he pumps into his craft.
He stated categorically that Africa’s most decorated rapper would have been on par with Wizkid whose his persona resonates all over the world but sadly that is not the case.
You see someone like Sarkodie, Sarkodie should have been bigger than Wizkid,” Wale said.
Asked to clarify, he said: “…I see that Sarkodie invests a lot of money into his craft in terms of videos and everything to make it perfectly right but he is still not there”.
Sadiq who was in the studios during an interview conducted by George Quaye on Joy FM said hinged on his analogy, Shatta Wale should have also been bigger than Burna Boy- who is now one of the leading acts in Africa and beyond.
