Ghanaian actor, politician, and entrepreneur, John Dumelo has once again weighed in on the Ghanaian rent crisis.
John Dumelo in a recent tweet proposed a solution to the problem a few months ago.
The former MP for Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency remarked in a new post spotted by Zionfelix.net that authorities should use force to solve this problem.
If a few landlords who take two years’ rent in advance are imprisoned, he claims the rest will follow suit.
Landlords are not allowed to accept more than six months’ rent in advance, according to the rent statute.
John Dumelo tweeted: “If one or two landlords are arrested for demanding 2 years rent advance, the rest will stop!”
