Abeiku Santana, a well-known media figure, has cautioned people to spend less time on social media engaging in pointless activities that don’t improve their lives.
According to him, some people could converse and post comments on things that don’t have a beneficial influence on their lives for up to three hours while viewing humorous videos on social media.
The radio host stressed that people who rely on social media for amusement but do not use it constructively can not expect a bright future because they are wasting their time on pointless activities.
According to Abeiku, social media has shown to be beneficial in the current system, with some individuals using it well to generate income in addition to other advantages.
“We all have 24 hours but what do you do with that? Some people spend three hours on social media it’s not bad unless you are making money from there. But if you spend three hours on social media watching funny videos on YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter then it’s dangerous.”
“You can go to WhatsApp chat and send videos for three hours. If you are still doing this in 2024, don’t expect any great future. Never take your present for granted because that is the foundation of your future,” he said while speaking on Okay FM and monitored by GhanaWeb.
