Former Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan has been heavily slammed by Ghanaians as he appeared to be jubilating over the Black Star’s Afcon exit.
Asamoah Gyan after Ghana was kicked out, lambasted Ghanaians for being ungrateful to him and insinuated that the current suffering of the team is due to him not being appreciated by Ghanaians.
Gyan shared a video with a message which read – “Learn to be grateful and appreciate those around you,”
In the video, a troll is seen protecting a town from impending danger but the townspeople attack him instead of appreciating what he is doing.
Out of anger, he let the danger pass and it quickly obliterated the town.
Ghanaians were fuming to see the post from Asamoah Gyan and heaped tons of backlash on the striker.
“Abedi Pele won’t even post this video, you really hate the national team and you want to see them fail soo bad to make your big statement. You can’t be a role model to any of these players. Shameful behaviour,” one netizen said.
Another added: “It’s like you want the team to fail so bad so that you can make a statement.
You are a legend. Stop disrespecting yourself with this ussselesss shades,”
