Flag bearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama expressed concern over short-sighted policies that neglect to establish a strong foundation for the nation’s future.
He has committed to working diligently to guarantee Ghana continues on the path of development.
John Mahama stated that despite imperfections in his first term, he made every effort to steer Ghana in the right direction.
John Mahama, speaking at the launch of the NDC’s 2024 campaign in Tamale, the Northern regional capital, on the theme; Change to reset Ghana, assured that “I will never tell you lies”, adding that he will not make promises he cannot fulfill.
“So, I’m promising you that I will work hard, day and night, and reset the fortunes of our country,” he assured.
He added that “the youth of this country wants an experienced hand, safe pair of hands, they want a hand that they have seen do it before, to come and rescue us from the mess in which we have been dumped by the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia government.
He argues that it is time to start afresh in Ghana, stating that the NPP administration has caused significant harm to the country since taking office in 2017 and should not continue ruling.
The former President stated that “the more I look at our situation, it is worse than what this government is telling us.”
He noted that “it is going to take a lot of hard work and one person alone cannot do it” calling on the cooperation of the entire citizenry to help reset the country.
