ARISTES HIDE THEIR PAIN TO SATISFY THEIR FANS ON STAGE – Sammy Flex

Artiste manager and Radio Presenter Samuel Atoubi Baaah aka Sammy Flex has opened up about his thoughts on the just concluded Sonnie Badu-hosted Rhythms of Africa performance.

Readers may recall that before the performance, Sonnie Badu announced on social media that he needed surgery after being involved in an accident at home.

He went on to say that the procedure took two hours, and even though he was advised to postpone his performance until he recovered, he was adamant about going on stage and promising his followers that he would.

Surprisingly, the performer used his crutches to help him walk on stage when it was time to scale the platform, as shown in other pictures and videos from his social media profile.

People on the internet started to ask concerns about this, with some even speculating that Onnie Badu staged the injury to promote his show because they couldn’t understand why someone who was using crutches suddenly recovered and was bouncing around on stage.

However, Sammy Flex, who has interacted with a number of musicians, has rushed to Sonnie Badu’s defense, expressing disappointment that he (Sonnie) didn’t perform while using a wheelchair or crutches.

He continued by saying that one of the things performers go through in order to please their audience and have them appreciate their performances is Sonnie Badu performing on stage while using crutches.

Sammy Flex continued by saying that although musicians occasionally perform in pain, they choose to conceal it from their fans and followers out of love for them. After the performance, however, they return to reflect on the anguish.
