Veteran broadcaster Oheneyere Gifty Anti has remarked that men are afraid of strong women.
According to Oheneyere Gifty Anti, “Every male is terrified of a strong woman. Everyone is wary of a strong lady.
She made this statement on on the “Anigye Mmre” program on Onua FM and she continued by claiming that this is the result of unfair bias against women.
They keep saying they agree with this strategy, but as they see you moving forward and become more insistent, their position changes.
The Standpoint program’s host asserts that women have been grouped together in a way that is not dependent on their gender.
She continued, The closest illustration of this phenomena, is how politicians act after winning elections. Oheneyere Gifty Anti agreed that one could need to change their behavior in response to new situations.
“People have this perception that powerful women, confident women, and successful women are rude. Listen, I always say those are characters,” Oheneyere Gifty Anti continued. “We all have different characters. So maybe poverty was suppressing their rudeness. And it’s in men, it’s in women. We’ve seen it all.”
She said, “We’ve seen people when they are low, especially political leaders when they are campaigning. After they secure power, they act differently. It cuts across both men and women. But some people are not changed by their situations.”
“Of course, when you find yourself in a certain position, there are certain barriers you need to put in place because you need to protect yourself. You need to check yourself and the interest of the people you represent,” she concluded.
