GHANA’S APPEARANCE IN WORLD CUP HAS BENEFITTED INDIVIDUALS MORE THAN THE COUNTRY– Michael Oti Adjei

Ghana took part in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, marking their fourth appearance in the international event.

Ghana made their international debut in 2006 and afterwards earned spots in the 2010 and 2014 competitions. Even though they improved and will try again in 2022, they failed to qualify for the tournament in 2018 for the fourth time in a row.

In four visits, Ghana has advanced out of the group stage twice and reached the knockout round once, with the quarterfinals in 2010 when the event was held in South Africa representing the greatest result to date.

Has Ghana benefited in terms of football from being a part of the World Cup, which is a fantastic platform and affords the nation attention that boosts tourism? Michael Oti Adjei, a seasoned sports writer, disagrees.

In his most recent video podcast, titled: Ghana World Cup participation have benefited individuals more than the nation, which is a tragedy, he conveys his ideas.
