I DID A VERSE FOR AN ARTIST AND THEY DROPPED IT; IT’S WORRYING – Ras Kuuku Laments

Ras Kuuku, a Ghanaian dancehall and reggae musician, has discussed the difficulties that musicians face in the music business.

One of the primary issues he emphasized was the refusal of some artists to collaborate with others, which causes disloyalty and poses obstacles in the collaborative process.

Ras Kuuku asserts that working with other artists may be difficult, and one of the biggest challenges is when a collaborator omits a verse from the finished product or declines to take part in the collaboration at all.

He admitted in the interview that he had gone through this himself, claiming that he had written lyrics for a colleague artiste who ultimately chose against using it in the song. He didn’t name the artist in question, but he did say he will tell us who they were later.

Ras Kuuku believes that in order for artists to demonstrate their abilities and reach a larger audience, collaborations are crucial. But when a partner declines to collaborate with another artist, it might leave that person feeling angry and dissatisfied.

“For you to do a verse for your brother man and they drop the verse or they decide not to do a song with you,” he disclosed to show hosts “It’s not Sarkodie but I’ll let you know later”

“The song was dropped before they called me and told me that they left out my verse. People are saying that maybe I mashed the beat too much that’s why they left it out,” he explained.
