I DOUBT BLACK SHERIF CAN WIN A GRAMMY FOR GHANA – Afia Schwarzenegger

Budding Ghanaian musician, Mohammed Ishmael Sherif, widely known as Black Sherif, for the past few days, has been trending and making headlines following the release of his new song, “Kwaku The Traveller”.

The song, which was released a few days ago, has been trending and making waves on most online music streaming platforms.

It was ranked number one on Apple iTunes in Nigeria, a feat that has not been achieved by a Ghanaian musician in a long while.

Following the song’s being able to break through the barriers of Nigeria, many concluded that Black Sherif would soon represent Ghana at the Grammy Awards.

However, controversial actress and comedian, Valentina Nana Agyeiwaa, also known as Afia Schwarzenegger, has revealed that she doubts if Black Sherif can represent Ghana at the Grammy Awards next year.

Speaking in an interview with ZionFelix, Afia Schwar said it would be difficult for the young musician to achieve such a feat.

She stated that Black Sherif is good, but she doubts if he can get a Grammy nomination.

According to her, Ghana has potential Grammy-winning artists but the home support is not there.

“He is super good. I like him. I think he is talented, but with how we lack home support, I doubt he can win a Grammy Award for Ghana,” she said.
