MY SONG WAS INSPIRED BY THE MALTREATMENT MOST CHILDREN GO THROUGH – Safo Newman

Safo Newman, the emerging highlife artist from Ghana’s Ashanti region, is gaining widespread attention on social media with his latest hit, “Akokoa.”

In an exclusive interview with Joy News, Safo Newman delves into the significance of his song “Akokoa” and the inspiration driving its creation.

“Akokoa” paints a vivid picture of orphaned individuals facing mistreatment by their adoptive families, highlighting the stark contrast between their experiences and the care provided to children with biological parents.

Newman explains, “It reflects the conditions of homes across our country, depicting the lives of children who go to live with others and are treated differently from their own.”

Discussing the motivation behind the song, he emphasizes that it mirrors the struggles faced by those enduring similar hardships.

“I have witnessed others in such situations. While I haven’t personally experienced it, as an artist, music serves as a voice with a distinct perspective. Artists perceive things differently than non-artists.”

Regarding the success of the music, Newman attributes it to a combination of hard work and divine influence.

As he aptly puts it, “The success is a result of my dedication and the influence of God on my journey.”
