Emerging Ghanaian artiste, Safo Newman has voiced his displeasure with what he claims are false rumours about him that are making the rounds in the news.

He says a lot of bloggers write about him just to get pageviews.

During his presentation on Asempa FM, Safo Newman made these remarks and urged bloggers to make sure their reports are accurate and unbiased in order to prevent harm.

“I always say that people want to do anything just to trend, don’t believe any story you see. Bloggers normally create a headline just to get traffic for them. I want to urge the media to make sure they are writing the exact and fair captions for their stories in order not to cause damage,” he remarked.

As Ghanaian dancehall star Shatta Wale chastised Safo Newman’s team for focusing on his music marketing at the expense of image development, the discourse surrounding his public persona became more heated.

Amidst these debates, Safo Newman, who also serves as a teacher at Cosmos Basic School in Accra, has been praised for his innovative fusion of contemporary and traditional music styles, particularly with his hit single ‘Akokoa,’ which debuted in 2023.
