One of the greatest legends to have appeared in music videos on television and maintained consistency in his career is Daddy Lumba. He was a pioneer in the music industry who laid the groundwork for highlife.

The music legend claims that creating music only to reflect the personality and interests of the musician will lead to the downfall of the artist since most listeners will find it impossible to relate to the song, leading to its rejection by the majority of them.

In an interview on his recently launched radio station DL FM, the “Ofon Na 3di Asem Fo” crooner stated that whenever he is recording a song, he considers what people think about and how people can relate to things before he completes his songs.

“And they (musicians) must listen carefully; if you are a musician who does music for yourself your music can’t be accepted by all. I think about what everyone is talking about. You must dive into people’s hearts and get to know exactly what they are saying. That is what I give to people”, he stressed.
